Distances
- Dunwoody Dash 5K
- Dunwoody Dash Fun Run (approximately 1 mile)
The 5K is described as an official qualifier for the 2026 AJC Peachtree Road Race. Awards are given to top 5K runners in various age groups. Both the 5K and Fun Run are noted as walker and stroller friendly.
Location and Course
The event takes place at and around Austin Elementary School in Dunwoody, Georgia. Both races start near the traffic light at the Austin/Dunwoody Nature Center entrance. The 5K course is well-marked, has a water station near the 2-mile marker, and will have an escort from Dunwoody Police. The finish line for both events is in the school's bus lane.
Festival and Activities
A post-race festival, called the 50th Anniversary Fun Zone, is held in the school playground area. It features food trucks, live music with a DJ, and several free family activities including multiple inflatables, a photo booth, a petting zoo, a balloon artist, and face painting.

Registration for each event is listed at $25. Race bag and shirt pick-up is available on specific days before the race at Austin Elementary School, with last-minute pick-up available on race morning. The event's entire campus is pedestrian-only; participants must park off-site at suggested locations and walk to the school. Restrooms are available in a multi-stall trailer in the bus lane or at the Dunwoody Nature Center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
