Event details
Spooky Pooch 5K is a dog-friendly running event at Grant Park in Atlanta on October 24, 2026. The event benefits LifeLine Animal Project and includes in-person and virtual participation options. Participants receive event shirts; finisher medals are included for in-person and virtual 5K participants. Fun Run participants receive a shirt but not a finisher medal.
The event format includes:
- 5K : timed, ages 8 and older
- 1 Mile Fun Run : not timed, ages 3 and older
- Virtual 5K : all ages, complete by October 31, 2026
A Dog Add-On is available for a limited number of dogs. One dog is allowed per registered human participant. Registered dogs receive a bandana and a mini finisher medal. Dogs must be on leash, non-reactive, and waivers are required. Participants are responsible for their dogs’ behavior and care.
Race services and features include chip timing for the 5K, costume contests for people and pets, awards for top finishers and multiple costume categories, a vendor village, and music and entertainment in the post-race area. Packet pick-up is offered in advance and on race day; virtual race packets are mailed, with domestic shipping and a mailing window beginning the week of October 19, 2026.
