Spooky Pooch 5K
Spooky Pooch 5K takes place on October 24, 2026, at Grant Park in Atlanta, GA. The event benefits LifeLine Animal Project and combines racing with family and pet-focused activities, costume contests, a vendor village, and post-race music and entertainment.
Event distances include:
- 5K timed race
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual 5K
Timed 5K participants must be age 8 or older; the Fun Run is open to ages 3 and up. All participants, including children and dogs, must be registered. The 5K uses chip timing for official results. In-person and virtual 5K participants receive a unisex event T-shirt and finisher medal; Fun Run participants receive a T-shirt only. Registered dogs attending with the Dog Add-On receive a spooky bandana and a mini finisher medal. One dog is permitted per registered human participant; dogs must be leashed, non-reactive, and have signed waivers.
Awards include overall and age group placements, best dog costume, best human costume, best duo, spookiest pack, top fundraiser, and top fundraising team. Early packet pick-up is offered at LifeLine's Community Animal Center prior to the event; packet pick-up also occurs on race day at Grant Park.
