The Basalt Santa Sprint 5K
The Basalt Santa Sprint is a 5K road event held on December 13, 2025, in Basalt, Colorado. The race is designated as the first annual running of this event and is open to participants ages 6 and up. The start and finish are located at Basalt River Park.
Event details
All registrants receive a Santa suit as part of registration. The event uses chip timing and awards a finisher medal. Bib and Santa suit pick up is scheduled for the evening before the race in downtown Basalt (location to be announced) and on race morning at Basalt River Park.
The 5K course runs through the greater old town area and uses neighborhood streets, bike paths, and sidewalks. Strollers are permitted on course. Pricing shown on the event page lists $48.70 (including fees) with a reduced rate of $38.10 for ages 6-12; discounted family pricing is also available.
