The Active Texan Triathlon
The Active Texan Triathlon is a sprint triathlon held at Lake Walk in Bryan/College Station on October 11, 2026. The event benefits First Win, a nonprofit focused on supporting and empowering children in the Brazos Valley, and honors a community leader. Divisions include individual and relay.
The course legs and distances are:
- Swim: 400 meters at Lake Walk
- Bike: 15 miles through the Traditions neighborhood
- Run: 3.1 miles with a scenic finish at Lake Walk
The event offers chip-timed results, a finisher medal, and a post-race celebration at Lake Walk. The relay division splits the three legs among teammates, with one swimmer, one cyclist, and one runner per team. The race welcomes first-time triathletes and experienced competitors alike; participants who can swim 400 meters, ride a bike, and run or walk a 5K can take part. Training sessions are available in the Bryan/College Station area and the BCS Triathlon Club provides community support. The Stella Hotel is located at the race venue for visiting racers. A local physical therapy sponsor provides resources for recovery and performance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
