About the race
Gladiator Dash is a 3.1-mile obstacle mud run held at Lake Bryan in Bryan, Texas. The course includes ten staffed obstacles; each obstacle is challenge by choice and has an alternate route. There is a single water crossing with staff on duty and a dry path around the swim. The event is produced by One Army and proceeds benefit Still Creek Ranch.
One Army has raised more than $1,200,000 for Still Creek Ranch historically. Mercuria is the title sponsor and other local sponsors support the event. Heats leave at regular intervals so participants run with their chosen group, and the event offers competitive heats with official timing, medals for top finishers, and an Endurance Race where laps are tallied. The Giveback Program awards $1,000 to student organizations that register the most runners in each category.
A raffle is held with ticket sales before race day to support Still Creek Ranch. Practical details reported for race day include secure gear check, free parking, spectator viewing, T-shirt and bib pickup available on race day and on two pickup days the week before, and recommendations to bring a towel, a change of clothes, and shoes that can get muddy. Dogs are allowed under owner responsibility. The official minimum age is 18; younger participants may attend if a parent or guardian signs a waiver and stays at the event or runs with them.
