The Acid Hill 5 Miler is scheduled for January 10, 2026 in Rockingham, North Carolina. The race distance is 5 miles, configured as a wheel-measured 2.5-mile out-and-back. Start and finish are at the intersection of Blewett Falls Road and Mini Meadows Lane, Rockingham, NC. Registration is online only through Ultrasignup and closes January 9, 2026. Entry fees are $15 plus a $3.50 Ultrasignup fee through January 1, 2026, and $50 plus a $3.50 Ultrasignup fee after December 31, 2025.
Course, services, and logistics
The course is all rural paved road with rolling terrain including flat, downhill, and uphill sections. There are no houses or dogs on the course and traffic is described as very light. One aid station will be available, passed at about 1.5 miles outbound and again at about 3.5 miles on the return; water only, possibly self-serve. Water will also be available at the finish. Timing will be handled using a laptop. There are no awards, shirts, medals, ribbons, or similar items. The organizer will arrange insurance and a porta-john.
