Hebden Bridge Fell Race
The Hebden Bridge Fell Race is a 10K fell race over trail and open moorland that climbs to Stoodley Pike and returns via Erringden Moor. The route includes a mix of terrain, flagged throughout and marshalled, with a final run in along wooded paths to a finish in Calder Holmes Park. The course is a category BS fell race operating under FRA rules and involves approximately 350 m (1150 ft) of ascent over the 10 km distance.
Registration and prize presentation are at The Albert Pub, between the town centre and the railway station. Entry is £5 or £6 on the day, with a race limit of 200 and a minimum age of 18. Teams may enter in threes. The event is in its 16th year and forms part of the Todmorden Harriers Summer Series; entrants to all four races will be entered into a prize draw.
Competitors must carry the kit specified by the race organiser to meet FRA minimum requirements. Specified items may include a full waterproof body cover, hat, gloves, map, compass and whistle; there may be kit checks at the start and finish. Failure to carry required kit may lead to disqualification and referral to the FRA. Parking at Hebden Bridge station car park is available by permission, with additional street parking in the town centre. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
