That’s So Hebden Bridge Fell Race
That’s So Hebden Bridge is a fell race that covers a distance of 10 km through the landscape of the Upper Calder Valley. The event starts and finishes in Calder Holmes Park, located near the Hebden Bridge railway station. The course consists of a mix of terrain, including trails, densely wooded paths, and open moorland.
A primary feature of the route is a steep ascent to Stoodley Pike via Erringden Moor before returning to the park. The race is classified as a category BS fell race, involving 350 meters (1,150 feet) of total climbing. The entire route is flagged and marshalled to assist with navigation.
The event is open to participants with a minimum age of 16. The race has a capacity limit of 200 runners, and entries are accepted on the day of the event. Registration takes place at The Albert Pub in Hebden Bridge.
As the race operates under FRA rules, participants must be prepared to carry specific safety equipment. Depending on conditions, this may include waterproof body cover with taped seams, a hat, gloves, a map, a compass, and a whistle.
