Texoma Challenge : Waterloo Trails night event
Texoma Challenge is a night trail event held at Waterloo Park in Denison, Texas. The event offers multiple distances on rooty and dirt single-track trails that loop through the Waterloo Trails system. Each loop features rolling hills with about 500 feet of elevation gain per loop. Historic average temperatures for the event are about 68 to 80 degrees.

Aid is available on course. A water-only station is listed near mile 3.7 and main aid stations are located at mile 0 and mile 6.2. Main aid stations provide hot and cold foods, snacks, water, electrolytes, pickle juice and ice. Drop bags may be placed near the start and finish area and participants are responsible for their own bags. Parking is limited to the west side of Waterloo Lake Drive and nearby baseball field lots.
Safety and gear requirements include a required headlamp for all events, a required water carrying system since this is a no-cup race, and specific ruck weight rules: 30 lb for participants over 150 lb and 20 lb for participants under 150 lb. There is a nine hour cutoff for all events. Relay teams consist of one to five people with each leg run as a 10K loop. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
