Event Details
The Texoma Challenge is an endurance event held in the foothills of North Texas at Waterloo Park in Denison. It features several distances: a 5K, 10K, 10K Ruck, Half Marathon, Marathon, 50K, and a 50K Relay.
Course Information
The event follows a 6.2-mile loop on unique trails, starting and finishing in Waterloo Park. The course surface consists of rooty and dirt single-track trails with rolling hills, featuring approximately 500 feet of elevation gain per loop. This is a no-cup race; participants must bring their own water-carrying system. A headlamp is required for all participants.
Registration and Series
The event is part of the Texas Summer Night Series, which spans eight races across Texas in 2026. Completing three out of the eight races in the series earns a set of collectible medals.

All registered participants receive a Texoma Challenge t-shirt. Finishers in the running events receive a distance-specific finisher medal. Overall awards are given for the top three male and female participants in each distance. The 50K and 50K Relay feature a last-place ("Dead Freakin' Last") award. All 10K Ruck finishers receive a special Ruck patch. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
