Event Overview
The Terrapin Mountain event marks its 20th year in 2027, offering a long-standing tradition of trail running in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Organized by Winding Way Run Co., the event takes place in Sedalia, Virginia, as the spring season begins. Participants navigate a course that features trails around Terrapin Mountain, White Oak Ridge, Goff Mountain, and Hunting Creek.
The event offers two distinct distances:

- Half-marathon
Participant Information
Registered participants receive specific items as part of their entry, including unique entrant's swag such as a terrapin mug, access to fully-stocked aid stations, and a finisher's award. Special awards are also provided to qualified category finishers. The event follows Trail Sisters Approved Standards, which includes a specific Pregnancy and Postpartum Policy regarding registration.
Venue and Amenities
The race is held in partnership with the Sedalia Center, a local non-profit organization dedicated to the community and the arts. On-site logistics include free tent and car camping for participants. Those requiring electricity for RVs may book spots through the Sedalia Center. Additionally, pizza is available as an optional add-on for individuals arriving at the venue on Friday evening. The course is situated within the mountainous terrain of the region, providing runners with an environment characteristic of the Blue Ridge area.
