Event Overview

The Ten Trails Active Club 5k Turkey Trot is a community running event held in Black Diamond, Washington. Now in its fourth year, the event takes place on an open course on Thanksgiving Day. The race is hand-timed, and participants are required to check in 20-30 minutes before the mass start.

Registration is available for the following distance:

  • 5k

The event course is the same as in previous years. To ensure space for all participants, registration is capped at approximately 250 people, and race day sign-ups are not available. The organizers request that participants are capable of completing the full distance on their own. While children in strollers are permitted on the course, they do not need to be registered as individual racers.

Community and Amenities

This event is organized by a small group of volunteers and relies on donations to continue. Participants will find snack stations at the end of the route, and brewed coffee and enamel club pins are available for purchase. The event features prize categories for both runners and walkers.

In addition to the run, the organizers host a raffle for Thanksgiving desserts. There is also a coordinated food drive during the event to collect donations for a local food bank. The event is open to participants of various skill levels. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
