16th Annual Telluride Foundation Rundola: Run for Good
The Rundola is an uphill foot race in Telluride that benefits the Good Neighbor Fund. The course follows the Telluride Trail from the base of the gondola in town to the top of San Sophia ridge. The trail is described as 4,600 feet long, 40 feet wide, with a 13% grade and an elevation gain of 1,810 feet. The listed event distance is 0.8 Miles. Per U.S. Forest Service direction, participants may only use the Telluride Trail.
Participation requires prior registration and a race bib. No refunds or bib transfers are allowed. No dogs are permitted. Bib and T-shirt pickup is scheduled under the Telluride Foundation tent at Oak Street Gondola Plaza on July 2 and July 3, with an additional on-site cutoff for pickup on race day.
Age and gender categories are used for awards, including divisions for 13 and under through 80 plus. Medals are awarded to the top three athletes in each category and the fastest overall woman and man receive grand prizes. Podium and breakfast take place at Oak Restaurant after the finish. All proceeds from the Rundola support the Good Neighbor Fund, which provides one-time hardship grants for housing, transportation, medical treatment, and similar qualified needs to local individuals and families.
