Event Overview

The Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run, also known as the Hardrock 100, is a 100-mile ultramarathon. The course involves 66,394 feet of total elevation change, with 33,197 feet of climbing and 33,197 feet of descent. The average elevation is over 11,000 feet. The low point on the course is 7,680 feet near Ouray, and the high point is 14,048 feet at Handies Peak.

Course and Location

The run follows a loop course through the San Juan Mountain Range in Southern Colorado, near Silverton. The terrain includes 4WD roads, dirt trails, and cross-country sections. The event acknowledges the land traversed as the ancestral homeland of the Ute, Puebloan, and Diné peoples. It operates under special permits from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service.
