Hardrock 100 Endurance Run : 2026
The Hardrock 100 Endurance Run is a 100 mile race based in Silverton, Colorado. For 2026 the course runs as a clockwise loop through the back country of the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado. The route connects or passes near the old mining towns of Silverton, Lake City, Ouray, Telluride and Ophir.
The course has a total elevation gain of approximately 33,000 feet and an average elevation near tree line of about 11,186 feet. The route reaches over 14,000 feet on Handies Peak, one of Colorado’s 14ers. The course alternates direction each year; 2026 is the clockwise configuration.
Entrants are asked to use the same name spelling as on their qualifier results. The event held a lottery for 2026 entries on December 6, 2025, and registration for the event closed on October 14, 2025.
The event supports charitable funds. One fund awards scholarships to students from the four anchor towns of the race area: Silverton, Ouray, Telluride and Lake City, to assist with post secondary education expenses. A separate trail fund provides voluntary donations to local and regional organizations that support responsible trail use, outdoor education, trail maintenance and construction, and disbursements to local search and rescue organizations.
