Hardrock 100 Endurance Run - Silverton, Colorado
The Hardrock 100 is a 100 mile endurance run held on a loop course through the backcountry of the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado. The 2026 edition is run clockwise and connects or passes near the historic mining towns of Silverton, Lake City, Ouray, Telluride and Ophir.
The course has a total elevation gain of approximately 33,000 feet and an average elevation near tree line of about 11,186 feet. The route reaches elevations above 14,000 feet, including a summit on Handies Peak, one of Colorado's 14ers.
The event alternates course direction each year; 2026 is specified as the clockwise loop. The lottery for entry to the 2026 Hardrock Hundred Endurance Run was scheduled for December 6, 2025. Registration for the event was listed as closed on October 14, 2025.
Organizers reference two voluntary donation efforts: a memorial scholarship fund that provides scholarships to students from the four anchor towns of Hardrock (Silverton, Ouray, Telluride and Lake City), and the Hardrock Trail Fund, which supports trail maintenance, construction, outdoor education programs and disbursements to local Search and Rescue organizations.
