About the race
The Costumes for a Cause 5K is a Halloween themed, family-friendly fundraiser held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Coconut Point, 23106 Fashin Drive, Estero, Florida. The event benefits Teen Challenge of Southwest Florida and includes both a timed race and a casual run/walk option.

Participants are encouraged to wear costumes; a costume contest will award prizes in categories including Best Male Costume, Best Female Costume, Best Pair or Couple, Best Family or Group, and Best Pet Costume. Costumes should be safe, family friendly, and allow clear vision and free movement so they do not create hazards for others.
Race awards will be presented to top overall and age-group finishers; costume awards are judged separately. The event will feature Halloween themed surprises, entertainment, and activities along the course and around the start and finish area. After the course, costume judging, awards, music, refreshments, and post-race activities are planned.
Strollers are welcome and well behaved pets may participate if leashed and under control; participants with strollers or pets are asked to start toward the back of the field.
