Event overview
The Teddy Bear Trot takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Eight-Twenty at the Mills, 820 Knitting Mills Way, Wyomissing, PA. This is the event's eighth annual running. It is organized as a social group run rather than a timed race. The route is described as a 3 mile fun run. Participants are asked to bring a brand new teddy bear for donation. Runners and walkers will be assigned to three departure groups based on pace ranges: 13+ minute milers, 10-12 minute milers, and 8-10 minute milers.
Charity, logistics and on-site features
Collected teddy bears are delivered to Opportunity House in Reading for use in its Learning Center; the event includes a visit to the Opportunity House Early Learning Center. Proceeds and additional monetary donations are designated for Opportunity House. The event also collects non-perishable food and blankets at the start location at Sly Fox. On-site features at Eight-Twenty at the Mills include a Teddy Bear Tag making station, a photo area for donations, a deluxe hot cocoa station on return, and a wear-test area for Karhu shoes provided by Fleet Feet. Group leaders will direct participants along the route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
