Team RWB 5k & Half
The Team RWB running event takes place in the heart of Georgetown near the United States Capital. The competition offers two main distances for participants:
- Half Marathon
- 5k
The course for both distances utilizes the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path. While they share the same general trail system, the start and finish locations differ by distance. The Half Marathon begins and ends in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club. The 5k event starts and finishes at Fletcher's Boat House.
The event is open to multiple types of participants, and walkers are welcome to join the distances. In addition to the in-person races in Washington, DC, there are virtual participation options available which allow for various combinations of medals and shirts. Registration fees are structured in tiers with price increases scheduled for mid-September and on the day of the event.
The venue is located at 4940 Canal Rd NW. The race is organized by Bishop's Events and takes place on the path along the canal, providing a scenic route through the historic Georgetown area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
