Team River Runner: 2026 Biathlon
This event on October 4, 2026 offers two participation options: an in-person D.C. Biathlon at The Washington Canoe Club in Georgetown and a TRR Virtual Challenge that can be completed anywhere.
The in-person D.C. Biathlon consists of a short kayak segment followed by a run, jog, walk, or handcycle segment. Solo and team entries are available. The event is described as adaptive and accessible and includes a built fundraising platform.
- Kayak: approximately 1 mile
- Run/Jog/Walk/Handcycle: approximately 3 miles
The virtual challenge asks participants to reach 90 minutes of continuous activity at a location of their choice. Both event options list the same base registration fee of $40 with veterans and certain adaptive participants eligible for free entry. Registrations open July 28, 2026; in-person registration closes October 2, 2026 and virtual registration closes October 4, 2026.
Entry for either option includes event apparel and participant identification items. The in-person location is The Washington Canoe Club, 3700 K St. NW, Washington, DC 20007.
