The Manatee Center 5K, One-Mile, & Kids Run takes place on March 21, 2026 in Fort Pierce, Florida. The event is the 18th annual running of this race and is held at 480 N Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. Packet pickup is scheduled for March 20 at Crabby's Dockside in downtown Fort Pierce. The event raises funds for the Friends of the Manatee Center, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports environmental education, conservation, and stewardship of the Indian River Lagoon and related ecosystems.
Course, entries, and awards
- 5K - Price $40; open to ages 125 and under.
- One-Mile - Price $25; untimed route, no awards.
- Kids Run - Price $15.
The 5K is timed by Second Wind Timing. Overall 5K winners, masters, and the top three men and women in each 10-year age group receive awards. The first 350 5K registrants are guaranteed a finisher medal. All 5K registrants receive a tech shirt while supplies last; shirts are guaranteed until February 28, 2026. The one-mile course follows much of the 5K route but turns toward the Indian River Lagoon and crosses the Seaway Drive Bridge; one-mile registrants receive tickets for the post-race runners drawing.
