Event overview
The Taxiway 5k takes place on February 28, 2026 at Baldy Brewing Company, 2120 Porterfield Way, Upland, CA. The event program includes two races:
- 5 km
- 800 m Kid's Takeoff Dash (open to children 12 and under)
Registration for the 5 km currently lists a price of $48.70 (includes a $3.70 fee); the kids race lists a price of $27.50 (includes a $2.50 fee). Registration for the 5 km includes a Taxiway 5k hat and a post-race drink at the brewery. The event features a post-race celebration with live music, food trucks, and beer. The Kid’s Takeoff Dash is presented by the Mt. Baldy Athletics Foundation, a nonprofit established in 2024 that supports youth athletic development in Mt. Baldy Village and the San Antonio Canyon Watershed.
Course and logistics
The 5 km course is essentially a counterclockwise loop around Cable Airport, described as generally flat with several twists and turns around hangars. There will be one water station on course around the halfway point. Race bibs can be picked up at the brewery/starting line on race day between 1:30 pm and 4:15 pm; there is currently no early packet pickup planned. Awards include overall top three male and female and medals for the top three male and female in multiple age groups from 14 & under up through 85+. Parking is available in the brewery industrial park; alternate street or business park parking is suggested if lots fill. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
