Full Montycute 10 Trail Race
The Full Montycute 10 Trail Race is organised by Crewkerne Running Club and is scheduled for Sunday 6 December 2026. It is a hilly trail event on and around Ham Hill with a history of being held on the first Sunday of December.
The course is being revised to use a new finish venue and is expected to be longer than previous years. Previous editions recorded around 10.2 miles with ten hills; route options being considered for 2026 include measured variants of about 10.6 miles with approximately 1699 ft of climb and an extra hill, and estimates between 10.5 and 11 miles depending on path closures and final finish location.
Logistics remain provisional: entries for 2026 will be handled via Race Nation and will open from 1 September. Parking arrangements may be adjusted for the new centre, with spaces planned to be reserved for cafe users, disabled drivers, EV charging and race officials. If the new centre is not available the event will use the Ranger Station as HQ and the original finish.
The route crosses a mixture of open access, permissive paths and woodland. Sections can be muddy, and occasional tree felling or landslide closures may require diversions. The event operates a cupless policy with competitors expected to use their own vessel; there are three drinks stations on route. Profits have been used to support club activities and local groups connected to the hill and nearby community projects. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
