Tater-Tot Trot
The Tater-Tot Trot is a community running event held at Murphy Central Park in Murphy, Texas. The event features multiple distance options to accommodate different types of participants, including those interested in short distances and families with children.
The following distances are available:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Kid's Dash
Participants in the 5K and 1 Mile events receive an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. The races utilize gun timing, and participants intended for competitive placement are encouraged to position themselves at the front of the starting group. Race bibs must be displayed on the front of the body.
The 5K event includes a competitive component with age group awards. Medals are awarded to the top four finishers in various age brackets, ranging from under 4 years old to over 80 years old. Platinum medals are designated for top honors, including overall winners, masters (40+), and grand masters (60+) in both male and female categories. All awards are distributed on-site at the event and will not be shipped to participants afterward. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
