Taskinas Creek Half Marathon : York River State Park
The Taskinas Creek Half Marathon takes place at York River State Park in Williamsburg, VA on Sunday, June 7, 2026. The event is run as a no frills "Hike a Half" format intended to be inclusive; participants may compete by running, hiking, or a mix of both. Registration is limited to 250 entrants.
The course is mostly trail and includes over half single track mountain bike trail, dirt fire-type road, and about one mile of pavement. Elevation on the course is around 600 ft with rolling terrain; the final two miles are described as especially difficult. The course is well marked and features scenic views. Aid stations are positioned at approximately miles 3.1, 6.5, and 10.5 and will offer water, electrolytes, and half marathon fueling foods. Free parking is available.
The event will provide official results including overall and age group listings posted on Ultrasignup. Physical overall and age group awards are not offered this year, but finisher medals will be available and a special PR coaster is awarded to runners who beat their previous time on the half marathon course. The race has a five hour time limit with some flexibility. Packet pick up is race day only and there is no race day registration. T-shirt orders must be added at checkout with sizes limited after the mid-May deadline; a limited supply of prior year shirts may be available on site.
