Event
The Taskinas Creek Half Marathon is a Half Marathon (13.1 miles) held at York River State Park in Williamsburg, VA on June 7, 2026. The event is presented as a "no frills" Hike-a-Half format that allows participants to hike or run. Registration is limited to 250 entrants and the race has a 5-hour time limit. Official results, including overall and age-group listings, will be posted online. Finisher medals will be available and a special PR coaster award is given to anyone who beats their previous time on the same course. T-shirts are not included in registration and must be added at checkout; the T-shirt ordering deadline is May 17.
Course and logistics
The course is mostly trail and includes single track, fire road type trails and about 1 mile of pavement. More than half of the route is single track mountain bike trail, with rolling terrain and an elevation around 600 ft. The final 2 miles are described as particularly difficult. Aid stations are supplied with fueling foods, water and electrolytes and are located at approximately miles 3.1, 6.5 and 10.5. Packet pickup is race day only, beginning at 6:30 AM. Parking is free. Overall and age-group awards will not be presented at the event, and lunch at the finish is limited to light food such as fruit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
