Taskinas Creek Half Marathon : York River State Park
The Taskinas Creek Half Marathon is scheduled for June 7, 2026 at York River State Park in Williamsburg, Virginia. The event is organized as a low cost, no frills race with a new "Hike a Half" option intended to be inclusive of different paces.
The course is a mostly trail half marathon that includes over half single track mountain bike trail, dirt fire type road, and about one mile of pavement. Elevation on the course reaches around 600 feet and the terrain is generally rolling with many scenic viewpoints. The final two miles include a notably difficult section.
Race services for 2026 include official results posted online with overall and age group placements, a finisher medal (optional to take), PR awards for beating a previous time on the half marathon course, free parking, marked trails, and aid stations stocked with water, electrolytes, and half marathon fueling foods. Approximate aid station locations are at miles 3.1, 6.5, and 10.5. A five hour time limit applies.
What is not included in standard registration this year are event T shirts and traditional overall and age group awards; T shirts must be added at checkout and have an ordering deadline of May 17. Packet pickup is available on race day only and there is no race day registration. Registration is limited to 250 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
