Event overview
The Taskinas Creek Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at York River State Park in Williamsburg, VA. This edition is organized as a "no frills" Hike-a-Half, so participants may hike or run. Registration is limited to 250 entrants and registration closes on June 3. Official results, including overall and age group listings, will be posted on UltraSignup. There will be a finisher medal available and a PR award for runners who beat their previous half marathon time on this course. Overall and age group awards are not included this year.
Course and race logistics
The course is mostly trail surface: over half is single-track mountain bike trail, about one mile is paved, and the remainder is dirt fire-type road. Elevation is around 600 ft with rolling terrain. The final two-mile section is described as especially difficult. A time limit of 5 hours applies. Aid stations are located at approximately miles 3.1, 6.5, and 10.5 and will offer water, electrolytes, and half-marathon fueling foods. Packet pick up is available race day only and there is no race day registration. T-shirts are not included with registration; they must be added at checkout and the ordering deadline is May 17. Light post-race food (mainly fruit) will be provided rather than a full lunch. Free parking and a well-marked course are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
