Taskinas Creek Half Marathon : June 7, 2026, York River State Park
The event is presented as a "Hike-a-Half" no-frills half marathon aimed at being inclusive rather than strictly competitive. It takes place at York River State Park in Williamsburg, VA on June 7, 2026. Registration is limited to 250 entrants and there is no race day registration; packet pick up is available on race day only. Official results, including overall and age groups, will be posted on UltraSignup. Free parking and finisher medals will be available.
Course and race details
The half marathon is mostly on trail surfaces: over half on single-track mountain bike trail, about 1 mile of pavement, and the remainder on dirt fire-type road. Elevation is around 600 ft with rolling terrain; the final 2 miles are described as especially tough. The course will be well marked. Aid stations are planned at approximately miles 3.1, 6.5, and 10.5 and will offer fueling foods, water, and electrolytes. A five-hour time limit is in place. T-shirts are not included in registration and must be added at checkout; the ordering deadline is May 17. Overall and age group awards are not included this year, but a PR coaster award is offered to runners who beat their previous half marathon time on this course. Light post-race food (mainly fruit) will be provided instead of a full lunch. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
