Tapyard Ultra 50 km
The Tapyard Ultra is a new point to point 50 km ultra running event on Saturday 5 September 2026. For 2026 the route starts at Ramsbury Brewery in Wiltshire and finishes at Renegade Brewery in Berkshire. The direction of the route will alternate in future years.
The course is multi terrain and approximately 75% off road. It follows woodland trails, canal towpaths, paths and country lanes and has about 340 m of elevation. The course is fully signed and a GPX file will be provided about one week before the race.
There are four checkpoints on course at roughly 10 km intervals. Checkpoints stock cola, water, energy drinks and sweet and savoury snacks. Personal nutrition can be delivered to the third and fourth checkpoints. Aid stations, toilets and feed stations are provided. Chip timing, live tracking and medical backup are available. The race has a nine hour cut off.
Included for entrants are a medal, race mementoes, a free drink at the finish bar, free downloadable race photos, prizes and post event massage. A pre event shuttle bus option allows parking at the finish and transfer to the start. Mandatory kit includes a fully charged phone, a foil blanket and a full 500 ml bottle or vessel for fluids. Recommended items include a waterproof jacket, a cup and a method of payment.
