Tapyard Ultra 50km
The Tapyard Ultra 50km is a point to point ultramarathon linking Renegade Brewery in Berkshire and Ramsbury Brewery in Wiltshire. For 2027 the route runs from Renegade to Ramsbury; the running route changes direction each year so start and finish venues alternate.
The course covers 50 km with 314 m of elevation and is around 75% off road. Terrain includes woodland trails, paths, canal towpaths and country lanes. The course is fully signed and a provisional course map and GPX file are provided. There are four checkpoints at approximately 10 km intervals and four aid stations offering water, cola, energy drinks, fruit and snacks. Personal nutrition drops can be taken to the third and fourth checkpoints.
Timing is by chip with split times and predictive runner tracking. Included with entry are a medal, mementoes, a free drink at the bar, free race photos and prizes. Other listed services include toilets, feed stations, medical backup and post-event massage. A pre-event shuttle bus option is available so participants can park at the finish and be transported to the start.
Mandatory kit items are a fully charged phone, a foil blanket and a full 500 ml bottle or vessel. Recommended items include a waterproof or showerproof jacket, a cup and a method of payment.
