About the race
The Dinton Santa Dash is a festive, untimed community run held at Dinton Pastures Country Park. The event offers traffic‑free lakeside trail running on flat terrain and is organised as a fun run rather than a race. A portion of each entry fee is donated to the charity 2Wish, with £2 from every entry given directly to that organisation.
Participants receive a unisex trouser Santa suit with many choosing to wear red outfits; entrants who bring their own red outfit receive a small entry discount. The event includes a bespoke Christmas finisher medal, free race photographs after the event, a mince pie and a chocolate for finishers, and on-site first aid. Organisers provide marshals and route markings; the start and finish use a snow machine to create a festive atmosphere and friendly volunteers assist along the course.
Age rules are specified: all under 8s must be accompanied by a registered adult on the 2 km route, and all under 11s must be accompanied by a registered adult on the 5 km route. The event is described as a family tradition for many local households and is supported by a headline sponsor.
