Tap into the Trails : Cheboygan, MI
Tap into the Trails is a pair of community road and trail events held in Cheboygan, Michigan, that use routes connecting downtown with nearby state trails. The event features two distances starting from downtown Cheboygan, with some sections on pavement, crushed limestone, and a short portion on road.

- 5K showing access to the North Central State Trail from downtown
The 10K course begins at Festival Square in Downtown Cheboygan. The courses are described as fairly flat. The Cheboygan Police Department will monitor roads and help control traffic during the event. The course is open to other trail users, and headphones are not advised so participants can be aware of surroundings.
Practical details include parking and restrooms at City Hall. Timing will be informal for this newer event. Pre-registration closes at 7pm on 9/18, and same day registration starts at 7am on 9/19. Registration fees listed for the listed events are $30 for the 10K and $25 for the 5K.
