The Tameside March 5k Festival & Family Mile takes place on 7 March 2026 at Tameside Cycle Circuit, Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne OL7 9HG. The event is organised by Active Tameside. The 5k is run on the cycle circuit and is described as just over five laps of a flat, traffic-free course. Chip timing is used.

The 5k has graded races, including an open race and categories listed by target finish time (for example sub-25, sub-20, sub-18). The minimum age for the 5k is 13 on race day. Race numbers are to be collected on the day. Cash prizes are offered for the top three men and top three women. All runners receive a memento. The event is staged under UK Athletics rules.
The Family Mile is for children aged 12 and under. It covers one and a half laps of the circuit and children receive a finishers medal; adults may run with their children. Entry fees listed in the entry options include a 5k fee shown as £14 with a £1 booking charge and a £2 discount for UKA-affiliated entrants. Family Mile entry is listed as £4 with a £1 booking charge or £5 on the day.
