Flower Scar Fell Race

The Flower Scar Fell Race is an early season South Pennine fell race based at Todmorden Cricket Club, Centre Vale, Todmorden OL14 7BS. The course features steep climbs, rough moor and fast paths, and follows ground described as typical of South Pennine fell running.

Entry is by pre entry only with fees listed at £10 for FRA members and £12 for non members; entries are handled via SiEntries from late November 2025.

A strict no kit no run policy is in place. Full FRA mandatory winter kit is required and includes a waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers with taped seams, a hat (a Buff is not accepted), gloves, map and compass, whistle and emergency food.

There is a cutoff at CP1 set at 50 minutes from the start; runners unable to meet this will be asked to return to race HQ to limit the time marshals are on course in winter conditions. Teams are permitted with separate male and female team counters. Prizegiving will be held at the Cricket Club and hot food including meat and vegan chilli is available from race HQ for £6 per head.
