15th Annual Tamarac Turkey Trot
The Tamarac Turkey Trot is an annual sporting event held in Fremont, Michigan, celebrating its 15th year. The event features several road race distances and walking options, providing opportunities for participants of various ages to participate in health and fitness initiatives. The event is located at 1401 W Main Street.
Participants can choose from several different course lengths and formats:
- 10K Run
- 5K Walk/Run
- 1.5 Mile Fun Walk
- Kids 5K (Ages 5-11)
- Kids 1.5 Mile Walk
- Virtual 5K Walk/Run
The 10K and 5K races include specific award categories. Recognition is provided for overall winners, masters’ winners, and age group placements. For the 10K, awards are given to the first place in age groups ranging from 12 and under to 70 plus. The 5K and Kids 5K offer awards for the first, second, and third place finishers across numerous age brackets. All participants receive a finisher gift upon completing their respective distance.
For the 5K event, walkers are positioned behind the runners at the start. The 1.5 mile walk and run participants begin their course following the departure of the 5K runners.
