Tamarac Turkey Trot

Tamarac Turkey Trot is a community road event based at Tamarac, 1401 W Main Street, Fremont, Michigan. Organizers announced a rescheduled race date of March 28, 2026, and said more details will follow about in-person and virtual options. Packets are available at Tamarac’s Welcome Desk through the end of December, and participants were asked to save their race bibs for the new date.

The event program includes multiple distances:

• 10K run
• 5K run/walk
• 1.5 mile fun walk
• Kids 5K
• Kids 1.5 mile walk
• Virtual 5K run/walk

All 5K, 10K and 1.5 mile participants are chip timed. Courses start and finish in the Tamarac parking lot. The course is an open road course with live traffic; participants are expected to follow normal traffic regulations and course support instructions. Dogs and strollers are allowed on course; children must be supervised by a responsible adult. Children who remain in a stroller for the entire race do not require separate registration, but children who walk or run on the course must be registered.

All finishers receive a finisher gift at the finish line. The 10K and 5K include overall and masters awards plus age-group awards; Kids 5K awards are given by age group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
