TAM Trek : Middlebury, Vermont
TAM Trek is a trail race and fun run that raises funds for the Trail Around Middlebury. The Trail Around Middlebury is a 19 mile footpath that encircles the village of Middlebury and links town land, conserved properties, schools, and local landmarks. All race distances start and finish at Wright Park in Middlebury.
The event includes these options:
- 19 miles whole Trail Around Middlebury loop.
- 10K single-track through Wright Park and Otter Creek Gorge Loop.
- 5K wide and single-track loop in Wright Park via Belden Falls.
- 2 mile fun run trail along Otter Creek, family friendly, dogs on leash.
The 19 mile course follows the entire TAM through Middlebury, Cornwall, New Haven, and Weybridge and passes viewpoints of the Green Mountains to the east and the Adirondacks to the west. The 10K runs entirely on single-track trail with about 400 feet of elevation gain and several technical sections. The 5K stays inside Wright Park and loops from the southern entrance to Belden Falls and back. The 2 mile fun run follows Otter Creek, includes walkers and runners, and highlights parts of Wright Park popular with families.
Standard registration fees vary by distance. Day of pricing is higher and a reduced fee applies for children under 12 for the fun run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
