TAM Trek : Middlebury, Vermont
The TAM Trek is a trail race and fun run held on Sunday September 20, 2026 in Middlebury, Vermont. The event raises money for the Trail Around Middlebury, a 19 mile footpath that encircles the village and links town land, conserved properties, schools, and local landmarks. All distances start and finish at Wright Park on Seymour Street Extension.
Distances offered include:
- 19 mile race covering the entire Trail Around Middlebury
- 10K on single track through Wright Park and the Otter Creek Gorge Loop
- 10K youth category for ages 13 to 18
- 5K loop entirely inside Wright Park via Belden Falls
- 2 mile fun run with separate age categories
The 19 mile course passes through Middlebury, Cornwall, New Haven, and Weybridge and runs on the full TAM route. The trail is rolling and provides views of the Green Mountains to the east and the Adirondacks to the west. The 10K includes about 400 feet of elevation gain and several fairly technical sections. The 5K mixes wide and single track trail around Wright Park.
The 2 mile fun run follows Otter Creek on trail, accommodates walkers and runners, and allows dogs on leash. Youth 12 and under are free. Day of registration opens 45 minutes before each race start.
