Taking Steps for Autism Walk & 5K is a fundraiser for Autism Everyone held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Vanderburgh County 4H Center, 201 E. Boonville-New Harmony Road, Darmstadt, IN 47725. The event is sponsored by Field & Main Bank and 14News. It will be held rain or shine with no reschedule date. Organizers state that all proceeds stay in the local community and that Autism Everyone is not affiliated with other autism organizations.

- 1 mile Autism Family Walk - entry fee $20
- Kid's Dash - free, open to ages 12 and under
The entry fee increases after December 26, 2025. Registration for the Kid's Dash closes on April 18, 2026. Those who register on or before April 1 will receive a t-shirt included with registration; registrations after April 1 do not include a t-shirt. The 5K will include awards. The Kid's Dash lists categories for ages 0-4 and ages 4+.
Location and packet pickup
Packet pickup for shirts and 5K bibs is available on the weekdays before the event (Monday April 13 through Thursday April 16) and the morning of the event on April 18. Pickup location is 3700 Bellemeade Avenue, Suite 116, inside the Medical Arts Building, Evansville, IN 47714. The Family Walk is a one mile route; strollers and wagons are allowed, and pets are not permitted except service dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
