Taking Steps for Autism Walk & 5K

The Taking Steps for Autism Walk & 5K is a fundraiser for Autism Everyone held on April 18, 2026, at the Vanderburgh County 4H Center, 201 E. Boonville-New Harmony Road, Darmstadt, IN 47725. The event is sponsored by 14News. It will be held rain or shine with no reschedule date. Autism Everyone states it is not affiliated with other autism organizations and that all proceeds stay in the local community. Awards will be presented for the 5K.

5K run
Family walk - 1 mile
Kid's Dash - open to ages 12 and under

Entry fees listed are $30 for the 5K and the family 1-mile walk, and $0 for the Kid's Dash. Fees increase after January 31, 2026. Registration for the Kid's Dash closes on April 18, 2026. Packet pickup for shirts and bibs is scheduled on April 13, April 14, April 15, April 16, and the morning of April 18; pickup location is 3700 Bellemeade Avenue, Suite 116, inside the Medical Arts Building, Evansville, IN 47714. Strollers and wagons are allowed on the family walk; pets are not allowed except service dogs. The course includes a mapped 5K route.
