Event Details

The Take Heart 10K & 5K is an all-female running event. It takes place on a Saturday in February in Tyler, Texas. The start and finish location is Spinout at Swann Plaza.

The event offers two race distances:

10K
5K

A portion of the event's proceeds benefits The Center for Healthy Living, a free health education and resource center in East Texas. Participants can make an additional donation to this organization during registration.

Participant Experience

The event includes on-course support and a gear check service. After the run, refreshments are provided. Post-race offerings include a choice of wine, a specialty bar mix, and chocolate-covered pretzels. Hydration and nutrition are provided by a sponsor.

The RaceJoy mobile app offers participants live phone tracking, GPS progress alerts, and allows friends and family to send audio cheers.

Registration & Awards

Registration includes a custom commemorative women's shirt, a custom commemorative finisher medal, a custom race bib with chip timing, and free digital photo downloads. It also includes two months of free endurance coaching.

Prizes are awarded to the top three overall finishers in both the 5K and 10K events. Age group awards are also given for the top three finishers in multiple brackets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
