Chasing Santa 5K / Cycling Santa Toy Drive : Colorado Springs
This event is an annual toy drive and set of community runs and bike rides held at 5725 Mark Dabling Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80924. It benefits local children and families in the Colorado Springs area and is in its sixteenth year. Participants are asked to bring unwrapped toys for donation.
The program combines running and cycling options and supplies a complete Santa suit with registration. The Santa suit includes pants, jacket, belt, hat and a beard. Toddlers 4 and under are free with an adult registration and will receive a complete Santa suit.
Distances offered:
- 5K run/walk for adults and for kids 15 years and under.
- 6 mile cycling route.
- 10 mile cycling route.
- 21 mile cycling route.
A longer cycling route uses the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort as a turnaround location, where riders are served coffee and fresh waffles before returning. Santa suit pick up is listed at 5755 Mark Dabling Blvd on dates in early December at scheduled pickup times.
