The New Year's Dash 5K Run/Walk takes place on January 1, 2026 in Elizabethtown, KY at the Elizabethtown Sports Park, 1400 West Park Road, 42701. The event includes a 5K run/walk and a separate kids run for children 9 and under. The venue features a covered pavilion and heated bathrooms. The course is described as runner-friendly. Participants receive a hot chocolate mug, a long-sleeve race t-shirt, and a finisher medal; to guarantee a shirt, registration must be completed by December 17, 2025. Kids registered under the free option do not receive a t-shirt or medal unless entered through the paid registration.

Entry, awards, and beneficiary
General registration is listed at $30. The price increases after November 30, 2025. The kids 9 and under run is free under the standard kids entry. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and top three female overall finishers. Additional awards include most creatively dressed male and female participants, Most Spirited Runner, and the Oldest Runner. All runners receive a finisher award. Proceeds from the race benefit the Elizabethtown Lions Club, which supports eyesight conservation, youth programs, and local community initiatives.
