Tad Tri 2026
Tad Tri is a sprint triathlon held in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, traditionally on the first Bank Holiday Monday in May. The event is in its 19th year and raises funds for Tadcaster Community Pool.
The race format is a sprint distance triathlon consisting of a pool swim, a bike leg and a run alongside the River Wharfe. Course details:
- Swim: 400 m pool swim
- Bike: 13 km scenic bike route
- Run: 6 km flat run by the river
The event is organised with an entry limit of 300 competitors and is not suitable for wheelchairs. The course profile is described as undulating and the race uses a single lap. Race headquarters is at Riverside School, Wetherby Road, Tadcaster LS24 9JN.
Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers, plus first-place male and female veterans in 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+ age categories. Participants must be at least 17 years old by 31/12/2026 and must hold British Triathlon membership or purchase a single-use Race Pass to compete. The event operates under British Triathlon rules, including the categorisation requirements for Female and Open race categories.
