Tad Tri
Tad Tri is an early season sprint triathlon in Tadcaster, staged in its 17th year and raising funds for Tadcaster Community Pool. The event is scheduled for Monday 3rd May 2027 and uses Riverside School as race headquarters and transition; the finish is outside Riverside School.
The race consists of three parts:
- 400 m pool swim at Tadcaster Community Pool.
- 13 km bike via Boston Spa and Bramham, returning to transition in Tadcaster.
- 6 km run to Newton Kyme on tarmac, returning on riverside footpath.
Registration takes place at the front of the school near transition. There is no parking at race HQ. The town car park behind Cyclesense is accessed from A659 Chapel Street. Roadside parking is available off Station Road; competitors are asked not to park on Station Road because it is on the cycle route.
Entry details from the organiser state a cost of £55 for the sprint and £80 for a team relay. Entrants must be aged 17 years or over on 31/12/2027. Non British Triathlon Federation members must purchase a British Triathlon race pass for £8 before race day. There is no entry on the day.
All finishers receive a Tadcaster Devine Meats pork pie or a vegan alternative, a micro towel and a medal. Prizes are awarded to male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and to first male and female veterans in age groups 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.
