The event is a single-lap half marathon covering 21.1 km with total elevation gain and loss of +386 m / -386 m. Mandatory equipment required at all times includes a fully charged mobile phone with a live SIM capable of calls and internet access, water carrying capacity of 500 ml, and a compression bandage. There is a strict four hour cutoff for the half marathon. Course markings are provided and marshals assist at road crossings needed to access Hunts Creek Reserve and the waterfall.
