About the race
The Sycamore Pumpkin 10K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run is the 48th annual edition held in Sycamore, Illinois on October 25, 2026. The 10K course is USATF sanctioned and certified; the event draws runners from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and beyond and takes place during Sycamore's Pumpkin Festival. Proceeds support the historic downtown shopping district, small business opportunities, and community development. Race features and services for the 10K include commemorative America 250 long-sleeve dri-release shirts (size guaranteed if registered by October 1), RFID timing, timing clocks at every mile, live searchable results with a detailed leaderboard, three water stations, course marshals, traffic control, and a medical team.
The first 1,000 finishers in the 10K will receive finisher medals at the finish line while supplies last; availability is not guaranteed for all finishers. The Fun Run is untimed, offers custom bibs for each registrant, and a short sleeve America 250 shirt to the first 200 registered. Packet pick up is scheduled in the days before the event at the Sycamore Chamber office and on race day at the Illinois National Guard Armory. Additional onsite services include post-race refreshments and beer for participants 21 and over with visible bibs.
