Event overview
The Sycamore Pumpkin Run is the 47th annual event held in Sycamore, Illinois on October 26, 2025. The event includes a USATF-sanctioned and certified 10K road race and a 1 Mile family fun run. The races take place near Sycamore’s downtown and park areas, with the finish located on the west side of the park entrance. The event draws runners from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and beyond. Proceeds support the historic downtown shopping district and community development.
Race details and amenities
The 10K uses RFID timing, has timing clocks at every mile, live searchable results for the 10K, and a medical team on site. The race provides course marshals, route markings, traffic control, three water stations, and post-race refreshments. The 10K includes a long-sleeve dri-release race shirt guaranteed for the first 800 registered runners and up to 800 finisher medals are available while supplies last; medals will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis if demand exceeds supply. The fun run will not be timed and features custom bibs; a limited number of short-sleeve shirts are guaranteed for early registrants.
