Sycamore Pumpkin 10K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run
The 48th annual Sycamore Pumpkin event takes place in Sycamore, Illinois on October 25, 2026, during the town Pumpkin Festival. The event offers a certified road race and a community fun run and draws participants from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and beyond. Proceeds support the historic downtown shopping district and local community development.
Race features for the 10K include a USATF sanctioned and certified route, RFID timing, dynamic bib assignment, live searchable results and a detailed leaderboard, timing clocks at each mile, three water stations, course marshals, traffic control, and a medical team. Finish line operations are staffed by an experienced race crew. The event will award 10K finisher medals to the first 1,000 finishers while supplies last; availability is not guaranteed for all finishers.

The 10K and Fun Run registrants receive commemorative America 250 shirts if registered by October 1, and the Fun Run provides custom bibs and race shirts to the first 200 registrants. Post-race refreshments will be available, and beer will be served to those 21 and over with visible bibs. Packet pick-up is scheduled on the days before the race at the Sycamore Chamber office and on race morning at the Illinois National Guard Armory.
