Sycamore Pumpkin 10K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run
The Sycamore Pumpkin event is the 48th annual running of a USATF-sanctioned and certified road race held in Sycamore, Illinois. The event takes place during the town's Pumpkin Festival and draws runners from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and beyond. Proceeds support maintenance of the historic downtown shopping district and local community development.

Race services and features for the 10K include dynamic bib assignment, RFID timing technology, live online results and scoring with a detailed leaderboard, timing clocks at every mile, course marshals, accurate route markings, three water stations, traffic control, and an on-site medical team. There are refreshments after the race and beer available to those 21 and over with a visible bib. Ten kilometer finishers can receive one of 1,000 finisher medals while supplies last; distribution is at the finish line and availability is not guaranteed for all finishers.
Participant items include commemorative shirts: a long-sleeve dri-release shirt for 10K registrants and a short-sleeve shirt for Fun Run registrants, with size guaranteed for registrations completed by October 1. Packet pickup is scheduled in the days before race day at the Sycamore Chamber office and on race morning at the Illinois National Guard Armory.
