Falcon 5K Turkey Trot
The Falcon 5K Turkey Trot is a community road race held in Avon, CT, with start and finish at Thompson Brook School on November 26, 2026. The event distance is 5K and the course follows local roads including Thompson Road, West Avon Road, Scoville Road, Fox Den Road, Sleepy Hollow Road, Burnham Road and Old Farms Road. Trash pick up will be provided at Thompson Brook School and free beverages and fruit will be offered at the finish. Each registered runner who crosses the finish line will receive a medal.
Registration uses tiered fees and deadlines. Runners must be registered by October 31 at 11:59 pm to receive a shirt or swag. Online registration closes November 23; a higher fee applies for day of race registration. Pre-race packet pick-up is available at New Balance Avon on November 19 and November 21; raffle entries are given for bibs picked up during pre-race packet pick-up and unclaimed raffle prizes will be donated.
Awards include VISA gift cards for the top three male and female overall finishers and souvenir coins for top male and female in multiple age divisions. Prizes will be presented during an awards ceremony on event day. The event is rain or shine, held at participants own risk, and operates with a no refund policy.
