Event overview
The Sweetheart Classic is held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in downtown Loveland, Colorado, at 4th and Railroad. The event is organized by Sweetheart City Racing and runs as part of the Loveland Sweetheart Festival - Love, Locks and Lights. The in-person course is a newly designed 4-mile route along the River’s Edge Natural Area. The event also offers virtual options.

The event raises money for the Thompson School District high school and middle school cross country and track teams.
Registration, packet pickup and race policies
All registration is online. Prices increase after January 31, 2026. To be guaranteed a shirt, participants must register by January 30, 2026. Race day registration is available online; cash or check payment can be arranged with a volunteer.
Packet pickup:
- Friday, February 13, 5:30pm-6:30pm at Redemption Church, 565 US 287 S, Loveland, CO 80537 (corner of 6th and Cleveland, use west side doors).
- Race day pickup near the start/finish line, 8:30am-9:15am; look for the arch on 4th St.
Parking is available via a free parking garage, downtown parking spots, and nearby lots. The start/finish area is near Cleveland and 4th. The event is held rain or shine; lightning may cause a delay.
Awards and finishing items
Every finisher will receive a finisher award (new for 2025). Awards include medals, gift cards, and gift certificates for top overall and masters finishers and for age-division placings. Couples awards are given by combined-age ranges. National anthem entertainment will be provided by the Vocal Flair Quartet. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
