The annual Sweet Home Milwaukee 5K is a lakefront 5k event held at Veterans Park in Milwaukee, WI (1010 Lincoln Memorial Drive). The event includes an in-person 5k, a Kid's 5k entry (untimed and without a shirt by default), and a virtual 5k option. The event page describes the race as open to all ages and abilities and notes a partnership with local Milwaukee businesses and a donation to Hunger Task Force.

Registration and logistics
General 5k registration includes a long-sleeved shirt (choice of long or short sleeve noted elsewhere), a finisher's medal with a magnet and bottle opener, a race bib, chip timing, a Bloody Mary at Brunch It Up, a dish of Fred's Frozen Custard on race day, and a donation to Hunger Task Force. Kid entries include a finisher's medal, race bib, and frozen custard; kid entries are untimed and shirts are available as an add-on. Virtual registrations include race swag and a mailed packet beginning May 4.
Packet pick-up is offered the day before the event at an early pick-up location (TBA) and on race day at Veterans Park; early pick-up is strongly encouraged. Registrations may be transferred to another participant, to another distance, or to the virtual option up until the day of the event. Strollers are allowed on course; dogs are not allowed on course but may cheer at the finish. Free parking is available within Veterans Park and along Lagoon Drive and Lincoln Memorial Drive.
