Sweet Home Milwaukee 5K

Event Overview

The Sweet Home Milwaukee 5K is the 13th annual edition of this event. It takes place at Veterans Park along the Lakefront in Milwaukee. The event celebrates Milwaukee Day (4/14) and is produced and sponsored by many local Milwaukee businesses.

Race Details

The event features a single 5K course, a 3.1-mile walk or run along the Lakefront at Veterans Park. It is a chip-timed race. There is no separate race for children; the one 5K is open to all ages and abilities. Strollers are allowed on the course, but dogs are not permitted to run.

Registration Options

There are three main registration categories:

• General 5K Registration: Includes a long-sleeved shirt, a finisher's medal (with a magnet and bottle-opener), a race bib, a chip-timed race, a Bloody Mary at Brunch It Up, a dish of Fred's Frozen Custard on race day, and a donation to Hunger Task Force.
• Kid's 5K Registration: For participants under 10 years old. This includes a finisher's medal, a race bib, and a dish of Fred's Frozen Custard. It is untimed and does not include a race shirt (available as an add-on). Registration is not required for children age 5 and under unless they wish to receive the medal, bib, and custard.
• Virtual 5K Registration: Includes a long-sleeved shirt, finisher's medal, race bib, a dish of Frozen Custard at Fred's, and a donation to Hunger Task Force. Packets are mailed starting May 4.

Logistics

Packet pick-up is available the day before the race at a location to be announced, and on race day at Veterans Park. Free parking is available in the open parking lots within Veterans Park and along Lagoon Drive and Lincoln Memorial Drive. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
