Sweet Cheeks Summer Fun Run 5K
The event takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Hyde Lake Pavilion in Memphis, Tennessee. It is presented as a family friendly gathering intended to raise funds for Sweet Cheeks Diaper Ministry and to raise awareness about poverty and diaper need in Shelby County and nearby areas.
Participants may run, walk, or dance across the finish line, and strollers are welcome. The organizing group describes Sweet Cheeks Diaper Ministry as the only independently run basic needs bank in the Mid South recognized by The National Diaper Bank. The ministry partners with local social service agencies to provide diapers to low income families and to highlight the basic health need for diapers. The ministry reports having distributed over 1.5 million diapers to families in need.
Event offerings for 5k participants include chip timing, live results, a finisher medal while supplies last, post race food and drinks, discount coupons and giveaways, and custom awards for overall and age group winners. A Kid's Dash option is offered with a participant shirt, a fun run, a kid zone with games, face painting, and additional family oriented activities.
