About the race
The Sweet Cheeks Summer Fun Run 5K is the seventh annual event held at Hyde Lake Pavilion on Great View Drive North in Memphis, Tennessee. The event benefits Sweet Cheeks Diaper Ministry and aims to raise funds and awareness about poverty and diaper need in Shelby County and nearby areas. The event offers an in-person timed 5K with chip timing and live results. Participants in the 5K may receive a finisher medal while supplies last, post race food and drinks, discount coupons and giveaways, and custom awards for overall and age group winners.
Strollers are welcome and participants may run, walk, or dance across the finish line. A kids program is part of the event. The Kid's Dash ticket includes a shirt, a short fun run, access to a kid zone with games, face painting, and other activities. A virtual participation option is also available. Sweet Cheeks Diaper Ministry is described as the only independently run basic needs bank in the Mid South recognized by The National Diaper Bank.
