Dayton City School Sweatbee Swarm
The Dayton City School Sweatbee Swarm takes place in Dayton, Tennessee. This community event is organized by the Dayton City School Physical Education Department to promote movement and physical activity within the local area. Proceeds from the event are used to purchase equipment for the school's physical education program.
Participants can choose from two distinct distances:
- 5 km
- 1 mile
The course begins and ends at the Dayton City School Bell Tower. Runners and walkers follow a route that transitions through the downtown main walking trail. The 5 km event is a timed race, while the 1 mile fun run and walk is an untimed activity.
Awards are presented to the overall top male and female finishers of the 5 km, as well as the top male and female finishers within specific age categories. These age groups range from participants aged 14 and under to those aged 70 and over. Packet pickup is available on the morning of the race inside the school gymnasium. Participants who register by March 31 are guaranteed an event t-shirt, with remaining shirts distributed while supplies last. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
