The 46th Annual Swamp Rat Runs

The event takes place on 08/08/2026 at Oneida Shores, Bartell Rd., Brewerton, NY 13029. It features two running events on paved routes that follow along Oneida Lake.

Distances include:

1 mile kids run
5K road race

Registration opens 06/01/2026 and closes 07/16/2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $15.00 for the Kids Mile and $25.00 for the 5K. Race packets are available for pickup on race day at the Oneida Shores Pavilion adjacent to the start and finish area.

The courses are described as scenic, fast and flat. The 5K course is USATF certified (5K: NY17033JG). Water is provided at various points along the courses. Timing and results for all races are provided by Leone Timing. An awards ceremony will follow at the conclusion of the race.

Special awards are offered for the top male and female 5K finishers and for the first three finishers in the listed age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, then ten-year age groups up to age 70+.
