Survivors' Challenge
The Survivors' Challenge is an annual community event held at Ben Geren Regional Park in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The 2026 edition marks the 35th anniversary of the event. All net proceeds support the programs and services provided by the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House for cancer patients and their families.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- 6.55 Miles (Quarter Marathon)
- 5K Run/Walk
- Celebration Walk
- Ainsley’s Rider
The event typically accommodates over 400 participants along with additional volunteers and supporters. Registration for most categories opens in early January and remains available online until the day before the race. There is no on-site registration available on the day of the event.
The event also offers a Supporting Spectator option for individuals who wish to contribute without participating in the run or walk. Participants registered by May 24th are guaranteed an event t-shirt at packet pick-up. Packet pick-up is scheduled for the week leading up to the race as well as the morning of the event. Corporate and individual sponsorship levels are available and include various quantities of registrations and t-shirts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
