The Run for the Girls event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Fort Smith, AR 72901. The event includes the following options:

Entry for each event is priced at $35. Registration opens February 2, 2026, at 12:00pm CST. The in-person 5K is described as a chip-timed and USATF certified 5K course. Event location and additional details were to be published in January 2026. T-shirts are available for entrants who register before May 24, 2026. All age groups are welcome.
Beneficiary and shelter information
"Run for the Girls" is a fundraiser for the Girls Shelter of Fort Smith, Inc. The Girls Shelter is a United Way community partner that opened in 1970 as a temporary emergency shelter and later became a long-term residential treatment facility. A 7,000 square-foot building was constructed in April 2002 on a two-acre lot at South 26th and Quincy. The shelter is licensed for eight girls, ages 12 to 17, and provides residential care, education support, counseling, case management, and life skills training.
