Event details
This is a guided trail half marathon in the Surrey Hills that starts and finishes in Guildford. The meeting point is St Martha's Hill in Guildford, Surrey. The event runs on several dates: 30 November 2025, 21 March 2026, and 3 June 2026. Distance: 13 miles. Entry cost is £25 per person. A car park is available and the meeting location is a short run or taxi ride from a train station.
Route and what to expect
The route includes St Martha's Church and hill, the village of Shere, Newlands Corner, Hackhurst Downs, and sections of the North Downs Way. The route changes between dates but always visits St Martha's Church and the North Downs Way. The event is a group run rather than a race; participants should be able to sustain an average pace of around 10 minutes per mile (about 6 minutes per km) on trails and have a suitable level of fitness. A full kit list is provided before the run. Head torches are available for the evening date and trail shoes are available to test. Participants will receive further event information a few days beforehand. An alcohol-free beer may be available at the end, subject to availability.
