Surf Drive Mile
The Surf Drive Mile is a one mile road race on Surf Drive in Falmouth, MA that finishes at the Surf Drive Beach House. The course is described as flat and fast and runs from west to east along Surf Drive. The event was formerly called the Main Street Mile.
The race uses a single start with faster runners positioned toward the front. For safety, baby strollers and joggers must start at the back. Slower runners, small children and walkers are asked to line up near the back. Children under age seven must be accompanied by an adult who is registered to run.
Number pickup and day of race registration are available at the Ellen T. Mitchell Bath House at 56 Surf Drive. There is also a pre-race bib pick up location at the Falmouth Running Club, 661 Main St., Falmouth. Online registration closes on May 15 at 11:59pm. All entry fees are non refundable.
Toilet facilities will be available at the start and finish area. T shirts are given to the first 150 people who pick up their bibs; post entries receive remaining shirts as available and sizes are not guaranteed. Refreshments are provided immediately after the race. Awards are given to the top three males and top three females overall and a commemorative medal is awarded to each finisher age 18 and under.
