11th Annual First Day 5K
The 11th Annual First Day 5K is scheduled for January 1, 2026 in Sandwich, Massachusetts. The event is based at the Sandwich Recreation Department at 34 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd. The race supports the Sandwich Recreation Department Jan Souza Scholarship fund, which helps offset program costs so more children can participate in afterschool programs, special events, and the summer program.
Event details
The event distance is 5K. Onsite registration is available on race day. A shirt deadline is set for December 7th. Walkers are welcome. Dogs are not allowed; service animals may be accommodated by contacting the event organizer.
Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers and to the first place finisher in each of these age groups: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
