The MV Winter Classic 20 Miler and Amity Island Relay is set for Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Vineyard Haven, MA. The event is a point-to-point race that starts directly in front of the Steamship Authority Vineyard Haven terminal and finishes in Oak Bluffs.

Course
The USATF certified course (#MA17039JK) is mostly flat with some rolling hills and passes through three Island towns. The route begins at Vineyard Haven Harbor, goes by the Gingerbread Cottages of Oak Bluffs, runs along a barrier beach road between Nantucket Sound and the 700-acre Sengekontacket Pond, crosses part of Edgartown’s farming area, and finishes with a section through the Manuel F. Correllus State Forest.
Race services and rules
The course has accurately placed mile markers and nine water stations. Post-race food includes bagels, fruit, treats from Morning Glory Farm, coffee, and hot chocolate. There are multiple award categories; every finisher receives a medal and an official event t-shirt. The race cutoff is four hours (based on a 12 minute per mile pace); participants who cannot finish within that time continue at their own discretion without aid station, volunteer, or police support.
Community and beneficiaries
