Superhero 5K Fun Run
The Superhero 5K Fun Run is an annual event held in Union City. It takes place at the Union City Civic Center or City Hall, located at 34009 Alvarado-Niles Road. The event will be held rain or shine.
The run offers two main events:
- 5K Adult for participants aged 18-99.
- 5K Youth for participants aged 1-17.
The event uses official race timing. Awards are given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each category. There is a costume contest for participants. Other activities include a raffle with prizes and giveaways. The event attracts hundreds of participants.
Since 2016, the run has supported the Parkinson's Foundation. A $5 donation from each registration goes to the foundation through the Union City Moving Day fundraising team. The event is supported by local organizations, including Union City Pediatric Dentistry and Comics & Figure Addicts, which provide donations and prizes.
