The CASA of Wise & Jack Counties Superhero 5K takes place on October 17, 2026 in downtown Decatur, Texas at the corner of Main and State Streets (Decatur, TX 76234). The event includes the following distances:

- Youth Untimed 5K (open to ages 12 and under)
The 5K is a chip-timed race. The youth 5K is an untimed entry. The event is organized to raise funds for CASA of Wise and Jack counties to support recruitment and training of volunteer advocates for children in foster care. Pets are not allowed.
Registration, shirts and awards
Base registration for the 5K is listed as $30 through October 3, 2026; the fee increases to $40 after that date. The Youth Untimed 5K is listed as free for ages 12 and under. Race t-shirts are guaranteed for racers registered by September 23, 2026. Early packet pick-up details are to be determined.
Awards for the 5K include medals for Overall Male and Female, Top Youth Male and Female, plus awards three deep in each age division. Age divisions are: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
