CASA of Wise & Jack Counties Superhero 5K : Decatur, TX
The event takes place in downtown Decatur at the corner of Main and State Streets on October 17, 2026. It serves as a fundraiser and awareness event for CASA of Wise and Jack counties to highlight child abuse and neglect and to support children navigating the foster care system. Funds raised will support recruitment and training of volunteer advocates; all proceeds benefit CASA of Wise and Jack counties.

- 5K (chip timed)
- Youth Untimed 5K (children under 12, no shirt or timing chip)
The 5K has standard registration fees with a lower rate through October 3 and a higher rate after that date. Children under 12 may participate free; there is an additional charge for a shirt or timing chip if those are desired. Race t-shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by September 23, 2026. The event awards medals overall for male and female finishers, top youth male and female, and the top three in each age division. Age divisions include 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Early packet pick-up is to be determined. No pets are allowed.
