SUNY Old Westbury 5K Run/Walk and Dash
SUNY Old Westbury hosts a community run and walk on September 26, 2026, on its 603 acre wooded campus. The event includes multiple timed and untimed distance options and is held around the Campus Center and Ring Road with portions passing the Woodlands dorms, HorseAbility campus, and Clark Center parking lot.
Distances offered:
- 5K run/walk
- 100 meter dash untimed
- 2 mile walk untimed
Amenities listed for participants include live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, music, food, club and department tabling, and a T shirt for all participants. Runners who register three weeks before the event receive a personalized bib. Parking is available in the Campus Center lot via the main entrance from Route 106 107. Day of bib pickup and registration tables are located in the Campus Center parking lot; early packet pickup is at the Clark Athletic Center in the days before the event.
Awards for the 5K include top three male and female overall, age group awards across standard ranges, and top three SUNY Old Westbury students, staff or faculty, and alumni. The 100 meter dash recognizes the top three male and female finishers. The event partners with HorseAbility and states a mission to support campus programs, students, and community connections.
