SUNY Old Westbury 5K Run/Walk and Dash
The SUNY Old Westbury 5K Run/Walk and Dash is scheduled for September 26, 2026 on the SUNY Old Westbury campus at 223 Store Hill Rd., Old Westbury, NY. The event takes place on the university's wooded 603-acre campus and includes multiple short-distance running and walking options.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 100-meter Dash (untimed)
- 2 Mile Walk (untimed, scored in heats)
All 5K and 2-mile participants receive a T-shirt. Personalized bibs are available for registrants who register at least three weeks in advance. Race services include live online, email and text results, free finish-line photos, on-site music and food, and tabling from campus clubs, departments, and athletic programs. Parking is available in the Campus Center lot via the main entrance from Route 106-107.
Awards for the 5K include top three male and female overall finishers, top one male and female in age groups (14 & under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80-89; 90+), and separate top-three awards for SUNY Old Westbury students, staff/faculty, and alumni. The 100-meter dash recognizes the top three male and female finishers.
